I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the Me Before You film more than the novel. The novel was great, but the movie just hit me more emotionally. The characters seemed more lively and likeable. It was more sad to see Will go on camera and it was also more sad to see Luisa’s grief over it. Me Before You is a romantic drama film that follows the story of Louisa Clark. She is a quirky and cheerful young woman who takes up a job as a caregiver for Will Traynor. Will is a wealthy, successful businessman who became a quadriplegic after a tragic accident. Despite their initial differences, Louisa and Will soon develop a close bond. A woman on the verge of losing her job and a man who becomes wheelchair bound find their lives intertwined.
